The trailer for our upcoming visual novel, Princess of Ruin, is now up!
That’s the first time I heard of Cryaotic aka Cry. I didn’t base Cyraen off any existing character but I did get a few messages saying he resembles a few existing characters. XD
i pre-ordered princess of ruin and i’m trying really hard not to play the demo because i want the FULL EXPERIENCE, ALL AT ONCE, but all the datable boys are perfect. there’s a prince-type and a kuudere and a shota and a hostile type and a megane and THIS USELESS BABY
i want to date all the boys. i need to know about all the boys. i’m going to become a princess of ruin blog the moment this game is released and nothing can stop me
The useless type!
I’m super glad you love it. Thanks for coming by and telling me! I’m really glad I put this out because it started out as a project just for my own eyes. ^_^
And by the way, would you ever consider doing a remake? Because I would pay a fortune for that :D Good luck with your new projects too, they all seem nice and I can’t to see more of your work. Hope you have a nice day and life overall! You deserve all the money and love. (and your name is Silvana?… Damn that has to be the coolest name I’ve heard in my life.)
I would love to do a remake but sadly, I don’t have the time for it. It takes me three to four times longer to do art now that I have a better grasp at it than when I did the art for Frozen Essence.
It’s cool that you think my name is awesome!
Thanks for your super awesome comment, anon! :)
Otome Story Club Entry for May: Memorable Quotes from Frozen Essence
So when I read or play anything, I like to have sai open or a piece of paper nearby to scribble on. I picked some of these because I think I’m hilarious or something.
Also, Tumblr seems to resize images since the last pic on the last post was pretty big (5100x1000). So I split it up and the proportions are a bit out of whack. Oh well, at least they’re visible.
Cool pics. :)
Thanks for reuploading the last pics.
With almost every picture I tried to practice some element I’m weak at. Particularly, not having people floating in empty space, perspective and lighting….and drawing. I also wish I had a style…
On the game:
First, the elephant in the room. The art isn’t exactly professional, and…
Wow, such nice fan art. Thanks for doing those! Do you have a larger version of the last image? It’s so hard to see and I’d like to put it in my collection!
It’s been years since I’ve played this game, but this line gets me everytime.
NO ONE CAN EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I LOVE NOT ONLY THIS GAME BUT THE SWEET AND DARLING CREATOR
Thanks soffiasotome, you’re so sweet. ^^
It’s been a while and I totally forgot this scene exists. So seeing this still make people laugh made my day. ^_^
I would like to compile a list of Ren’Py-related devblogs on Tumblr. If you’d like to have your blog included, message me or reblog this post.
I try to check all the ren’py-related tags, but if you have recipes, tutorials, or game releases you’d like to share, feel free to send me the URL or submit a post.
So I looked in my inbox today to find that the demo for Princess of Ruin is now available to those who have it pre-ordered. Unfortunately I can’t say that it was a fun, exciting or suspenseful demo. I didn’t really see enough of the three characters introduced to grow attached to them (however I did get a chuckle out of the physical resemblance between Cyraen and a certain other doll carrying character from That Otome Game - that’s where their resemblance ends, though) and the pacing of the story feels slow but at the very least, I suppose the mystery of who they all are and why they’re there does intrigue me enough to anticipate the full game. Hopefully it’ll be like the creator’s first game/Frozen Essence in that it has a slow start but picks up slightly better towards the end. That said, even if it still looks slightly awkward (like that cg sample on the top right) the creator’s art definitely significantly improved from their original work. The music selection in this demo unfortunately isn’t very impressive, though I suppose it’s also understandable why they feel dull since the events in the demo are mostly lull-ish moments, the only exceptions being the start and end of the demo.
That’s mostly my experience, though and you might have a different one, so if you also preordered this game, you might want to go to your inbox and try it for yourself and see how you feel too!
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll fix that problematic CG and think about making the final demo longer. :)
